Short-Term Running Goals:

I had ACL reconstruction surgery in December '07. Before that I could run my soccer team's hilly two mile fitness test in 14:13 ~ 13:00 on a flat course. I'd love to get back to that point. I'd really like to get back to road racing.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to run a trail race and be part of one of those team triathalons.

Personal:

I will be a graduate student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the fall majoring in Sports Management. I'm in a four year relationship. I like avocados and carrots.

My intent today was to run 3 miles, but that didn't happen. Around 2.2, I started feeling a blister forming on my left arch and stopped to check it out. It's already pretty tender and I can't find my bandaid blister blocker stuff, so I decided to finish the half lap I had to get back to my things, then call it a day. I definitely could have made it to three miles, though. I wasn't tired at all and my knee was holding up nicely.

Running today felt good. I went my distance in 24:40, starting with a 7:29 mile (10:25 total to start with 1.37 miles), then doing a walk 100 meters, sprint 200 meters to fill the rest of the distance. My 200s started out slow, going :49 for the first one, but I got down to :37 for my last one. The legs felt good and I'm just happy to be happy with running again.
